Eight Messages Project to Raise Community Awareness of Psychological Rehabilitation for War Victims

The Eight Messages Project to Raise Community Awareness of Psychological Rehabilitation for War Victims was implemented as part of broader peacebuilding efforts in Yemen. The project aimed to increase community awareness of the importance of mental health and psychological rehabilitation for people affected by war, using art and media as tools for public awareness and outreach.

The project included the formation of the “Alwan” (Colors) Team of artists and the development of their capacities in the field of mental health. It also involved the creation of 30 murals across the streets of Taiz City, the production and broadcasting of 8 radio spots, and the implementation of a media campaign.

The project was implemented in Al-Mudhaffar District, Taiz City, during 2024, with funding from the Government of Sweden and in partnership with Search for Common Ground.
